Can i install windows xp and ubuntu on same partition?

I removed the 2nd default panel in Xubuntu. How do i get that panel back?

I can add a panel (which indeed gets nr. ‘2′). But it’s just an empty panel.
The default panel nr.1 has: Applications, Places, and some system icons (Wired network connection, a button which tells me there are 122 updates, an information icon, a ‘restricted drivers available’ icon, a volume icon, a master icon, a time/date icon, a quit icon (which is halfway over the edge of the screen).
I think a number of important buttons/tasks are missing now, since i removed the default 2nd panel.

yeah 8.10 is sweet just can’t get flash working yet
