ibm thinkpad startup problem?
Jules M asked:
basically i have an old ibm thinkpad t22 that i found in the street… perfect nick, i cleaned it up and did a clean reinstall to get rid of the old windows 2000 and viruses etc… anyway i installed windows xp and was very happy with the results, i got a bit greedy and tried to install ubuntu on dual boot…. everything ran very slow so i tried xubuntu… thats where everything went wrong, it would not start up and now i cant ever install windows again…. on startup i get a blck screen saying:
GRUB loading stage1.5.
GRUB loading, please wait…..
Error 15
????what does this mean? when i last tried to install windows booting it on startup it said ‘you have insufficient ram’ you need atleast 4mb’ ?!?!? i got like 512mb in there (mind you i did add a new card after asking ibm exactly what card i needed ) after writing this i swapped ram cards and now it says i need to insert a windows up to windows 2000??? but i had xp running well on it>.. what is going on, does anyone know how to fix this or how to start from scratch?
thanks
02.12.08How can I mount an NTFS hard drive on startup in Ubuntu?
bluetrumpet07 asked:
I want to be able to access NTFS shortcuts from my Windows hard drive on startup instead of them having the blue X on them and me having to open the NTFS media to get them working.
I am already able to do it, but it’s not enabled on start up, I have to open the 52.3GB Media manually before I can use the shortcuts I have already created.
