How can I install Windows XP on an Ubuntu, Linux OS?
biohazard asked:
It’s me again. I inserted the XP installer cd then restarted the system. On the start-up the screen says, “PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD…”, but that doesn’t work. i repeated it several times but ubuntu doesn’t seem to respond whenever i am pressing a key to boot from cd. ubuntu is just starting the system without booting.
any help?

Has anyone tried Kubuntu linux?
Snowman asked:
I installed Kubuntu a few days ago on my home theater pc after years of Using windows.. Tried linux several times before and thought it was too strange to understand but I have grown to seriously hate WINDOWS..I finaly just broke down and put Kubutu on my home theater pc ..Before I Just played with linux for a few hours then went back to Windoze but after playing with Installing and Installing aplications to replace my old ones .I don’t think I’ll go back
The only mistake .Iv’e made was using too small of a hard drive.I used a 80 gig because I didn’t think i would stay with it .
So tomorow I think I will reinstall to a 250 gig Seagate.

Dual boot (XP/UBUNTU) to XP/Kubuntu?
DrNutrition asked:
I partioned drives hoping to know what the heck I was doing. I have tried this several times never quite succeeded all the way. At least doing exactly what I want to do. I want to change Ubuntu for Kubuntu. Can I just run the cd and will it wipe UBUNTU entirely? What about the current partions for UBUNTU. How do I designate what linux space on my second partition and not replace any of my current xp C: drive.
My cpu came with a C: drive and a D: drive. I somehow took the all the D: drive for linux which is what I wanted to do. I don’t know how I did it. So I load xp and the D: drive is now gone. There is just C: drive. I want to redesignate the original D: drive space for Kubuntu. How do I make sure I don’t erase any other XP drives during he installation. What should I look for when installing Linux KDE
