How to get Kubuntu to connect to Internet?

mrs.urenee :D asked:

I just used Wubi to install Kubuntu on part of my hard drive, the problem is, it doesnt have internet. I have internet on the other part of my hard drive, the Vista part. Its also wireless internet, and it connects to my laptop from the main computer with the modem upstairs. But Kubuntu just doesnt want to connect to my network, nor can it actually find it. So I want to know how i can get my Kubuntu to at least recognize my network, or somehow connect to the internet. My internet provider is comcast, should i call them?

Run a server off an Ubuntu box connected to home network THROUGH a mac shared internet connection?

Mike D asked:

Home router > iMac > Server

I have internet on the server, shared through an ethernet cable (automatically crossed over internally - thanks mac!), but im not sure how i would alter the setup to allow me to serve to BOTH the LAN outside of the mac and the internet. Any ideas?
The imac has 2 network cards, a wireless card which is connected to my home network, and an ethernet port that is connected to the linux server via a regular Ethernet cable (again, its auto crossed over). I have no firewall on the mac because there is one on my router that i have set up the way i like it. i am just not sure how to route the traffic to the mac AND THEN to the server. I mean, i could open the ports obviously on the router, but how will i tell the mac to pass the requests on to the server on the macs own subLAN?

How do I enter my passkey to connect to an internet connection on a Linux Ubuntu?

Anonymous asked:

You see, the network to access the internet here at home requires a password to connect to it, should you be using a Mac or a Windows based OS. However, my Linux just connects to the network without asking for a password. But I can’t access the internet since I didn’t enter the password. And I have no idea how to enter it. Any help?
