which linux version is good for a windows convert?
sn_cloud asked:
Hi,
I am looking to build a new home PC & would like to start using Linux . I’ve built PC’s before, so I’ll verify that I can get a linux driver before purchasing a video card/sound card/etc..
I’m unable to determine which linux version is best for me.
Can someone give the differences between Suse, Red Hat, Xandros, & Kubuntu for an experienced Windows user?
thank you for your time.

Kubuntu iso CD installed on Windows XP laptop - won’t run?
sail7915 asked:
I want to run Linux from a CD that I have just burned; computer starts up but msg appears “Windows needs to know what program created it . . . etc”. I understood that Linux would run independently of Windows and am reluctant to mix the two OS. Any words of wisdom appreciated.
